The Event ... On Sunday, June 20, 2010 ( Fathers Day) the Canada West Region of the Porsche Club of North America will be holding their 5th annual Dundarave Porsche Show and Ride fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis right in the heart of charming Dunadarave Village in West Vancouver. With support of the Dundarave Merchants Association and by special permit of the District of West Vancouver, up to 100 shiny Porsches of all models and years will be on display between 10:00 AM and 1:00 AM in the curb lanes of the 2400 block on Marine Drive which will have its traffic reduced in both directions to one lane each way to allow for the display. At exactly 1:00 p.m all Porsches on display will leave to head west along Marine Drive towards the upper levels highway in a Parade Drive up Cypress mountain for a photo session on the overflow parking lot.
This is a PCA-CWR Good Works event to raise money to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, a deadly genetic disease affecting children and young adults across Canada. Money will be raised by means of the donation of even registration fees to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and by selling off rides in the Porsche Parade up Cypress (and back!) for donation of $25 or more to the CCFF. Donations of $40 or more will be issued a tax receipt by the CCFF. A Fundraiser to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis ...This event is being organized and managed by members of the Canada West Region of the Porsche Club of America and volunteers from the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All funds raised through this event go towards medical research to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF), the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting children and adolescents today.
